Wings #2

This is my second entry for week 212 Wings.. I was going through my stash and came across this feather die and thought what are some wings made of .... feathers. so I decided to make another card.

I die cut the feather out of foam and made a stamp out of it. I then inked it and stamped it on to the paper in Caribbean blue from simon says stamp. I then inked it again on another piece of card stock and white inked swirls over the top of that and die cut it out, and adheared it underneath the foam cut out.

I added some blue sequins

 and that is my card.
I am linking my card up to less is more challenge Week 212 wings http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.ca/2015/02/week-212-wings.html

Wings

Today I saw a challenge at less is more Week 212 wings. I immediately thought of these wings that I have had in my stash for a few years and have never used. I inked them up in Ranger Archival Ink.

I colored them in with a wink of stella brush and Simon says stamp Maliblue ink.

I stamped the sentiment in Caribbean blue from Simon says stamp on vellum paper and die cut it with a circle as big as would fit around leaving a little room, then I die cut card stock 4 more times to make a frame. I cut the wings card making the final layer of the frame so the wings would be the top layer. I then paper pieced the card back to gather on a card.  I added wink of stella on top of the velum Then I took my paint brush and some water and the two colors of ink and splattered it to kinda look like stars... lol in the daytime.

maybe I should of left it alone.. but either way
I think the velum makes it look a little cloudy to fit the sentiment perfectly. I am linking my card up to :

here is the link again.

 Hope you enJOYed.

Orange you glad it's almost spring

Hello, I don't know about you, but I love the sunshine.. on my face, on my toes, in my eyes if I have sunglasses on.

I inked up a die cut circle with copic markers to get a faded effect. I die cut the hello (simon says stamp) and tried to color it the same way so it would look like that big orange sun.. you know when it is that certain time of day and you want to capture that moment in time because it is breathtaking, and you just want to shout out ....hello sunshine!!!

I want to link up to AAACards game 33 Orange you glad http://aaacards.blogspot.com/2015/02/game-33-orange-u-glad-ur-cas.html

Subtle Texture

A friend of mine is having a baby... she wants a girl... she has a boy, so she wants a girl.. I told her girls are trouble...LOL. She doesn't know what the sex is but I made her this card anyway... I used a dot stencil to add modeling paste that I tinted with distress ink (spun sugar) and layered it on... I had so much fun.. but I had paste everywhere.

I then inked the sides of the card after the texture paste dried using my blending tool with the same color ink.

I inked some card stock layering it twice to make it a little darker so I could make a frame. I  used  circle dies of sizes very close together. I then cut a circle where I wanted the little hand to show through

The hand is a stamp from stamping up (kid prints) in the definitely decorative section. I used a stamp from stampabilites called "Palm of His Hand. The verse is Isaiah 49:16

So just in case she has a boy... I made her this one.

I want to link this card up to Texture challenge at simon says stamp, because I added a little texture

I also want to link up to Monochrome at CASology, because I like the tone on tone feel of this card

I also want to link up to Make your MARK at Addicted to Stamps, because I made a mark

I also want to link up to http://thepinkelephantchallenge.blogspot.ca, because what better birthday than the first one.

OCC DAY 4

Today was all about texture. My card is a clean and simple with lots of texture. I used my Simon says card kit from Oct 2014... again... lol... I love all the different techniques to really stretch to get your monies worth.

I created this card by using the die over and over again to create a dimensional texture.
I added one of the hearts back in the cup after inking it up then using a wink of stella and a little glossy accents. I clear embossed the sentiment then inked over it with the same ink and wiped it off so the white would shine through.
Here is the inside of my card. I think it will make a cute Valentine's card.

I am going to link this project up to
hearts, hearts, hearts. I love all the hearts

lots of things could brew in a kissing booth... like..... HOT LIPS.

there is a lot on this card but I think it is very clean and simple.

I think with the naughty or nice.. it could be a cheesy pick up line.. LOL

This challenge was the sentiment is the focal point... I think it qualifies.

OCC DAY 3

I just love these classes they get my creative juices flowing. I decided when I was taking this class that I was going to use my simon says stamp card kit from Oct of 2014 because I wanted to see how far I could stretch it and todays lesson was no exception, from Partial die cutting to the stamp set. I love how this card turned out.
The background was inked in simon says stamp maliblue and carribean then stamped with versa mark ink. My friends and I used to watch FRIENDS all the time and if you have never watched it they used to hang out at CENTRAL PERK which is where I got the idea for this stamping. I used lawn fawn Milo's ABC to create the title and then the stamp from the stamp set.
Added some embellishments and there you go.
Here is a close up of my little die cuts. I ran it through my machine facing down and then again facing up to create so the handle's would be on the opposite side.

Hope you enJOY.
