Hello Ombre

Well hello there... you've been on my mind. Ever have a friend that pops in your brain and you call them and you find out they are really going through a rough time.. and you think no wonder they have been on your mind. That happened the other day so I made a card.

Hello is die cut four times and then colored with copic markers. The pictures don't do it justice as it was dark when I took them and usually shoot in the daylight. But alas I wanted to link this card up before it closed.

The blue is velum paper and I heat embossed the sentiment and the flower in white. The center of the flower in pink pastel .

Hope you enJOYed.

Remember Style

Remember... that word at the beginning of a conversation sparks interest.... doesn't it. Style sparks interest.. over at CAS-ology the cue card reads style.

I love that sentiment... that is what I am trying to showcase.

I have had it in my stash for years... that is the good thing about challenges.. it makes you  use what you have. Because I love new stuff...but when I love what I have I love it better  LOL this is good therapy for me.. shopping what I have to see if if fits into a challenge.

I stamped the shoes ( which I am almost afraid to say I have had them for years and I mean like 20 and have never used them ) and cut them out of vellum using that beautiful soft teal green

added some sequins on the top of the shoe.. and ta dah I have a card

I stamped the feet print ( again had for evaah ) at the top in that beautiful gorgeous to me color and then embossed it in clear on the lower half.

You know us girls have to have bling that matches right... well I just happen to have sequins that match.. wish my closet was that easy to shop in.. :)

hope you enJOYed

Just add FAITH.

Just add Faith.... and nothing will be impossible... what ever your dreams, ambitions, goals be even if they are the size of a mustard seed. Just add Faith and anything becomes possible.

My cards are sometimes like that. I see what I have in my head, or I see a inspiration but on paper its blank.... but then I start playing around.. and grab a ink pad and a stamp... and its like magic.

I am not artistic by any means... what I mean by that is I can't paint a painting just by looking at a scene like certain people here in blog land... but I am crafty I can put something together and make it look kosher. Is that decorating? Do I decorate cards? Maybe.. but I do have a little faith that I make someone smile with them.

even if it is myself.

I used for this card die cut Frames by Simon says stamp, a tag die cut from Tim Holtz, a circle from Quickutz, bird dies from Impression Obsession. A stamp I have had in my stash for 25 years...            ( I kid you not )
I inked it up with honey mustard ink from Tim Holtz and a few topic markers.

the challenge is to try a new technique...
the challenge here is to use a new technique. I learned in a class to create your own embellishments. I tried it on my string... I colored it with my copic markers.. it was white. :)

Hope you enJOYed

Faith as small as a mustard seed.

Easter is coming up next weekend.

Jesus said "if you have faith as small as a mustard seed.. nothing will be impossible for you" Matthew 17:20. Faith is what you need for Easter. Do you believe that Jesus rose from the dead 3 days  after He died on the cross for our sins? You don't need HUGE faith... only the size of a mustard seed.

That is what my shaker card is about. I made my card with no die cuts. Just a stamp a ruler and a exacto knife and a semi steady hand.

Inside my shaker... are actuall mustard seeds.

Lots of them... and just think... you only need faith the size of one. Most freckles are bigger than a mustard seed.

I colored the image with my copic markers. Y18 for the mustard and G40 & G24 for the leaves. Then I inked tea dye distress ink to make it look like dirt. I wanted to leave the inside crisp and white so the sentiment would pop.

Hope you enJOYed

Inscribed

Ok I can't quit yet. Over at Less is more they have this challenge to CASE a DT and I already  CASED Anne and Sarah so now I am going to CASE Chrissie. Here is my card.

The Sentiment says it all. Easter is coming up! So for all those Celebrating REMEMBER you are Inscribed on the palm of HIS hands.

I inked up my stamps  in Versa Magic Chalk ink Thatched Straw. The hand and background stamp is from Stamping up the sentiment is from Stampabilities.

and here is Chrissie's card. Chrissie post talked about the sentiment mostly. I agree. It is the moments we least expect we enjoy the most.

You add color to my life

Over at the Paper smooches blog challenge this is the sketch they are using this week

This is my card
I used Paper Smooches butterfly dies. I die cut a mask and inked around the image. I used the sentiment "You add color to my life" from the I heart art set.

I then die cut the butterflies out of white and blue vellum which is also my strip across the top.

I used my paper sewing machine to  sew the butterflies together

I love how the yellow and blues added together make the striking green color.

Hope you enJOYed

Wishing you the happiest birthday

It was my darling hubby birthday on Monday... he turned ... well he turned OLD in his words... which is very funny to me since I am six years older than him.. LOL. He calls me his cougar.. I told him I don't qualify for that you have to be at least 10 years older than the other person.. so he says "then I can't wait for your senior citizen discount. LOL.. I told him ... well we won't get into what I told him but I did make him a card. I made him a glitter shaker card... He just loves glitter... NOT..
I used a star die cut and made the window... and then cut a frame out of Silver glitter paper

His favorite color is purple so I die cut the wishing out of purple paper and stacked it three times.

and filled the shaker part full of purple goodies.. sequins and such..

and stamped the "you the happiest birthday" sentiment  in dusty concord distress ink.

I cased Sarah's card ... she said she wanted to see lots of white space and have fun.... I did have so much fun.. and seeing the look on my hubby face when he saw all that glitter.. LOL

And I also want to link up at http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ Anything goes.

because all the products on this card were new.. and she has the cutest stamping cottage on the block.
